Mrs. Alma Gautreau, 87, widow of Edouard Gautreau of Pré-d'en-Haut, died Tuesday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Beaumont, she was a daughter of the late Denis and Olive (Landry) Boudreau. Her husband died four years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Blair Gautreau (Hermine) and Mrs. Gillis LeBlanc (Lorraine), both of Pré-d'en-Haut; four sons, Gérard and Paul-Emile, both of Moncton, Euclide of Dieppe and Adrien of Saint John; two sisters, Mrs. Adélard Gautreau (Agathe) of Foyer St. Thomas, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Edgar Cormier (Edna) of Memramcook West; five brothers, Laurie and Yvon, both of Beaumont, Edgar and Amédée, both of Waltham, Mass., and Irénée of College Bridge; 14 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Léo, and two brothers, Aurèle and Denis, died previously.
The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
